The only thing Im missing to downgrade vista to xp is the sata controller I cant find it anywhere for the Extensa 4630Z.

I found Slipstream drivers but it was for downgrading a acer aspire laptop and they didnt work.

I checked intel's site for sata controller drivers they arent there.

When tried slipstream drivers I found filename called " iaahci.inf " I used nlite to intergrate them on cd im still getting a blue screen so they arent compatible.

Why doesnt acer's support site have these sata drivers?

Where do you get a BSOD, and how are you integrating them in nlite ?

Check out this thread, and see if it helps you. Get the driver direct from Intel.

I get a BSOD as right before I see the partition in Windows setup. I integrated them using nlite like all the other threads show on the net, not the copy paste method into a folder. I did exactly like you showed using the slipstream drivers I used iaahci.inf. My sata controller is " Intel ICH9M/M-E Family 4 Port SATA AHCI Controller - 2929 "

Ok, as shown in this post, did you download this driver (32-bit only), and slipstream it as text-mode ? Unzip and integrate all the contents of the f6flpy3286 folder....XP will choose the driver from it, itself.

What else are you slipstreaming ?
Only integrate the SATA driver, and make the CD bootable - nothing else.

What is the error code shown in the BSOD ? - STOP 0x00000007B ?
