    Acer TM 5520 web connection problems-HELP PLEASE

    Hi
    Just taken delivery of new TM5520,,,,AMD TL-58 x 2 , ATI X1250,

    Connected to the net with my Sagem 800 USB modem but cannot obtain
    any DOWNLOAD speeds greater than 1200kbps. This same usb modem connected to my older Aspire 1511 downloads at 7000kbps (from a 8mb connection)
    I have changed MTU values and TcP windows but nothing makes any diffrence.
    to the download speeds. Upload runs the saem as old lappy at 420 (512 connection)

    Any ideas what might be causing this.....compatibilty prob?
    I have noticed that the Adaptor settings according to DrTCP is set to use
    the Yukon ethernet ,and will not change....but I do not use ethernet.

    Any advice appreciated
