I just got a TravelMate 3002WTCi, and there is a slight problem with the keyboard. The upper left corner does not seem to be secured down properly, like the rest of the keyboard is. The keyboard surface in that corner lifts up slightly. It appears that it should be pressed down, but when I do this, it just lifts back up. I don't know if it supposed to be glued or something?? I don't want to have to call in and get it "repaired" as this could cause greater problems down the road. Does anyone know of a way that I could fix it myself? Naturally, the laptop didn't come with any documentation on how to dismantle or remove the keyboard. Help please!

I could be that one of the clips isnt securing it. Do you see if any metal or plastic clips on the upper regions are there and not fastening or springing into position (to hold the keyboard down)?

Yes, there actually is a clip right there. I pushed it in with my finger and voila! I feel a little dumb now, since now I can see how obvious it was. Thank you.

No problem, not a lot of people would know. It shouldn't be loose in the first place, it may have been a boo-boo from the factory.
