im thinking about getting this Acer laptop from newegg

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834115179

any thoughts or opinons on this laptop? i cant seem to find a review on this site. I was wondering if this is a good deal. Also, if anybody could point me in the direction of a laptop that is similar but cheaper i'd be happy to check it out. Anyways thanks for your time.

It's a great laptop, you can try doing a search on TravelMate 8100 or Acer 8100. I know there's been many reviews on it on sites like PC Magazine, Cnet, and other gadget sites too. But if you're willing to spend that amount of money, you're pretty much open to a wide variety in that price range. A popular choice is the customizable Asus Z70VA. It's a superior build. The 8100 series have been around for a long time now.

Keep in mind when buying on NewEgg, there are no returns. They will only exchnage if you have seven or more dead pixels.
