    Hi,

It will be my first time to purchase a notebook and considering this model Acer TM82042WLMI...the specifications and size is ideal for my needs for video editing, graphics, and etc.
My local shop is selling this model for $300 - $400 cheaper of the new model but it is manufacturer refurbished. Can anyone let me know if this is a good deal to purchase?

One more thing, my interests for this system are the slimness of the design and awesome specs. Anything similar or better?

    Thanks,
    Phil

Make sure u take a good inspection over it. See if the screen is ok or not, like light leakage. And other stuff.

Light leakeage is a term used to describe the effects of poorly adjusted screen chassis. The lights used to light up the screen are sometimes not put into place properly (wrong angle, bad build, etc) and a certain part of the screen (usually bottom) becomes overly-lit resulting in what people refer to as "light leakeage". If you have it,you will have poor viewing qualities in the dark or when the screen displays black color - you will see a half moon at the bottom of your screen.
