    I didn't see any parts for the Timeline X series on NewModeUS.com, but maybe another part will be compatible or one of the ebay ones will work?

    Particularly interested in the 5820T, but I assume if it works on the 4820 series, it will more than likely work for the 5820.

    I've been researching this heavily.

    Answer is pretty much YES.

    Problem is, how easy (or hard) is it to remove the ODD?

    Once you remove the ODD, just need to figure out two things:

    9.5mm or 12.7mm caddy?

    sata or pata connection?

    And i'd avoid newmodeus... overpriced caddys... go for a fenvi caddy off ebay for half the price... same sh*t.
