In UK is going for £400 which i think is pretty reasonable price. However, since i have never used Acer before (i use Dell) i have the following questions:
1. Has anyone got this model and what are his/her impressions?
2. As soon as i get the laptop i want to reformat and setup xp pro on it. I cannot find anywhere this model in Acer's website with the drivers. Am i using as reference the 2420 model?
3. I can find all the other drivers and i'm not bothered about Acer software, but does Acer has any specific system software that is needed for the laptop to operate? Like Dell's notebook system or something?
4. This model in all sites is not specifying the rpm of the HDD. Anyone knows if it is 5200rpm?
Thanks

ok i have decided to go with the
ACER As3692WLMI Celeron M420 1.6GHz 64MB Shared 512MB 60GB 5400RPM
that has a 15.4 wide screen and memory stick reader...
However, has anyone re-formated their acer's before and reinstalled xp? Apart from the drivers is there any software from Acer that is needed for the laptop to operate properly?
I'm planning to delete all the partitions from the HDD and create only 2...
