    Hi,

I've posted a message asking for thoughts about the Acer TravelMate 292LCi laptop, as that's the one i'm thinking of getting.

Basically, does anyone have that laptop and can tell me what they think of it? Also, what are Acer Laptops like in general (honestly)? Are they reliable? Durable?

    Thanks for your time! Cheers...

My new Acer 1662WMLi seems to be a very good unit- it's my 1st one, but after looking at a lot, build quality seems great.

    ATI 9700 Mobility o/c to 436/246

Hey i ordered my acre travelmate 292LCi 512RAM, 40GB hard drive last week and it arrvied today, bearing in mind im a mear student but i still know enough, anyway i did alot of research, foudn Acer to be a reliable manufacturer, asked aroudn and found many good reviews. So then i set about deciding which travelmate was the best for me and decided on the 292LCi (also it is the best selling series out of all the travelmates)! It arrvied this morning, so far i have done little with it but i picked it up (very light), and was very impressed with what i saw, i tested it with a DVD and i thought the quality was amazing! It's very quiet and for playing music it reaches a high volume (compared to my friends aptops anyways)!I would definately advise it, i purchased from www.ebuyer.co.uk as i found them to be the cheapest and it came to a total of £803 (including VAT and shipping costs)
