Hello all and greetings from Liverpool UK.

I recently purchased an Acer TravelMate 6292-302G16MN and am really pleased with it. However, I am not so enamoured with Windows Vista.

What I would like to do is install Windows XP instead. Can anyone help with an easy way to do this?

I am not a fan of recovery partitions so that could go - I'd rather have the extra space for mp3 storage! Would a fresh XP install automatically delete it for me?

Another problem is that my previous system was a Dell with all the drivers on one handy disc. Obviously I don';t have that with this new Acer. How can I find which ones I need and where could I get them from?

I appreciate that these are probably quite moronic questions, but if anyone could maybe find a few minutes to help, I'd really appreciate it.

    Many thanks

    Gary.
