This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Acer TravelMate randomly shutting down

    My TravelMate 7520 is acting really weird for the past two weeks. It all begins with the net icon suddenly showing internet disconnected, after which i get a message that eDataProtection did not install and the computer just turns itself off (it doesn't go through all the shutdown procedure). today it turned off without any error message about eDataProtection.

    Did anyone else have similar problems? =[
