    Acer Travelmate 4010 battery is not charging after windows XP Professional installation

    Hi I am new in this group -- pl help me what to do as My Acer Travelmate 4010 windows XP Home which came preinstalled - crashed and I have installed XP professional on it and have downloaded all the drivers from Acer web site and installed them. But my Battery is not charging though It was perfect before system crashed.
    I do not have previous backup on CD and alt+F10 does not work then I installed Xp professional.

    your problem could be cause by the windows acpi driver. I had a problem with my Compaq laptop not charging the battery and that was the problem. Reinstall the driver fixed the problem for me.

    I already have ACPI driver and I have tried removing and installing again but the same problem.
    Can someone give more clues to resolve this issue.
