Hi, my friend has this laptop running Windows XP.

    The problem:
Every time I restart, the network card is disabled by default.
On very few occasions, the network card disables itself when surfing the internet.

    I tried:
    Disabling other network cards
Going to Device Manager, NIC, Untick "Allow the computer to turn off..."
Scan for malware/viruses using AVG 8.0

    Conclusion:
    Still it doesn't work!

Pleaaase!! Any advice/solution from peeps who had the same problem?

    Thanx :)

Check the profile with the power options , of the ACER software.

In there you have full control of the hardware. LAN - BT - WiFi - CPU speed - Display luminosity.

I liked to disable the WiFi in start up , and i disable it from there.
