Hello, I have a travelmate 4320 and I found no topic, no forum on this model. Here, I have this laptop for 2 years and I wanted to upgrade the configuration because it begins to be old.
So I would like to replace my current Celeron M 530 with a Core 2 Duo T7700, which is far more powerful. I think it is compatible since the manual are:
"Technology Platform mobile processor Intel ® Centrino ® Duo
    with:
    • Intel ® Core ™ 2 Duo Mobile T7300/T7500 /
    T7700 (L2 Cache 4MB, 2/2.2/2.4 GHz, FSB
    800 MHz) and T7100 (L2 Cache 2MB
1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) supporting
    Intel ® 64 architecture "

I would also add 1 GB of DDR2 to go to 2 GB (more is not possible). Then change the HDD 80 GB because it gets to be a little.

Do these changes are possible? If yes, it does it'll have a tutorial that would compare this model?
Please help me, Thank you very much.

PS: Sorry for my English, I'm French and I do not speak very well.

Upgrading the HDD and RAM would be very easy and take minutes to do.

Upgrading the CPU is a little more involved and may not even be possible for your model, but i'm not sure on that.

What is your budget? Maybe you're better off purchasing a new laptop altogether. In the USA, we can get brand new dual core laptops for around $350-400.

Yes, it's also an idea. If I sell my laptop and add some money, I can buy an other pc. I 've a budget of approximately 350-450 € so 440-570 $.
But in Europe, it's relatively more expensive  ! Maybe I could buy it from the USA.
Can I 've a good laptop with that ? I saw that the only differences were the keyboard which is in QWERTY (but maybe we can change it if it's buy on internet) and the supply but you can find adapters for cheap.
    Thanks :)

Shipping from the USA to Europe might cut into your budget quite a bit. Perhaps it's better to just buy a laptop from your homeland?

Your current CPU Celeron M530 is socket M processor and T7700,T7500,T7300 are all socket P processors and will not fit in your laptop.
You must look for socketM CPUs like T7200,T7400 and T7600. My suggestion is T7200 for it's price and performance. You can get one for around £40 in ebay.

This manual gives you an idea how it might look inside and help you replace the CPU.
