    1. Acer provide XP driverss for your laptop so you won't have a problem finding drivers:
    http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/tm_5720.html

    2. If you decide to install XP you might need to go to the BIOS and switch the HDD mode from IDE to AHCI(if possible). If your BIOS doesn't have this option(and you HDD controler is always in AHCI mode) then you may have to slipstream a SATA driver in your XP CD(check this guide to find out how).

    3. No idea if the laptop comes with 32bit or 64bit Vista, check the specification page of the site where you're buying it or just contact the store. Keep in mind that no matter your laptop comes with 4GB it doesn't mean it comes with Vista 64bit.

I would not use xp 64bit the hardware support is mediocre at best i would however get a list of all the hardware in the notebook and go to the manufacturers website and download their drivers before hand i have put xp on several laptops that had vista and sata hdd's never had any problems at all another great free tool for finding drivers is radar sync u can get it at radarsync.com at the least find a driver for your wireless card or ethernet so u can have access to the net to do updates and find drivers if u need to
