    try increasing the resolution of the screen. That might help. It happend to me as well with Windows. With a lower resolution, colours looked a bit blurred and I got similar strikes of colour accross the screen.

    If your graphic drivers let you, try chaning the refresh rate a tiny bit higher than supported or a little lower. I've overcome this problem on an LCD doing this before

    Yep that test proves it has the problem. If I move the page down by a pixel the 2 images on the right (the kid and the blue square) become clear.

    My friend with an Acer Travelmate 8106 also with a 1680x1050 LCD has this problem too.

    Yeh I had to do this on my old Sony Z1 to remove some very annoying diagonal lines which appeared to be some kind of interference. Sony just said only some people can notice the diagonal lines and I happened to be one of those unfortunate people :mad: I cant remember the app I was using to increase the pixel clock but I'll try and find it and test it on the acer too.

    No luck with Powerstrip: when I change the refresh rate the display dies.
