    Do any updates ever get pushed to this utility? I'm wondering if I have current drivers, and if they're not going to show up there, then I might have to start crawling the net. I was hoping the utility existed so that I wouldn't have to do such things...

    Also, I'll probably be doing a clean OS install soon, and was wondering if I should burn the drivers cd that the acer utility makes, or install the updates from the website. I have an 8943g, so I'm sure there's a load of drivers I'll need to find if I do the latter.

    Didn't work for me so I ditched it :D

    Yes, burn the drivers and application disc also. Some of the tools on that disc are not available from Acer website. Also check your HDD for a hidden OEM folder, since this also contains drivers and tools, sometimes some of them are newer than those from Acer website.

    If your going to do a fresh install, it may be better locating the drivers manually, that way you know you have the most up to date drivers. This may not be possible for all drivers. They are fairly easy to locate on Manufacturers websites.
