Hey guys, I have a V15 Nitro Black edition (this is the first gen VN7 with a i7-4720HQ, GTX 860M 4GB and 8GB RAM, with a 1TB 5400rpm HDD), model VN7-591G-751V.
I want to add an M.2 ssd to this laptop, but I saw somewhere that Acer is known to remove sockets on certain lower-end or regional models.
Since mine is a Vietnamese model, I can find almost no information on the web about this, and when I checked with HWinfo, there doesn't seem to be an empty SATA slot, but it also reports having 4 RAM slots while these laptops actually only have two, so that's not very reliable.
Can someone tell me if this particular model has an M.2 slot? I've looked everywhere without answers, and I really don't want to open it yet given how hard it is.

Yeah, there should be one in this model. Again - I'm not 100% sure that is the case with Vietnamese version but 100% sure that is the case with Acer V15 Nitro VN7-591G-751.
There is a very small chance that this has been removed in Vietnam - it would actually cost more to remove it than to keep it (it would create a separate version of mobo which could not be used in other VN7-591G-751, therefore forcing Acer to manufacture and then stockpile for service and warranty reasons two almost identical motherboards which would not be interchangeable. All of that to save a few cents in the short run only to lose more in the long run).
Acer V15 Nitro VN7-591G-751V - is there an M.2 slot?
