Hello, so I recently purchased an Acer V3 572G and decided to take it apart for a little bit of cleaning before reformatting the hard drive with a clean copy of Windows 8.1. After reinstalling the OS, the trackpad and backlight have stopped functioning. I've tried reseating the cables as well as pressing FN + F7 for the trackpad and FN + F9 for the backlight. I've installed the drivers I've found on Acer's website (extremely difficult to find) but the issues still persist. Before taking the computer apart, both worked great so I'm assuming that either the reformat or cleaning borked something. I have taken many computers apart before to clean them and have never had any issues.

Can anyone make any suggestions on what I should try? Thanks in advance.

    **** EDIT ****

Anyone have this same problem can resolve this issue by making sure that you have Windows installed using an UEFI USB boot drive and installing the chipset driver followed by the Intel IO driver. Why Acer requires this is mind blowing.
