I plan on buying an Acer V5-171 series machine. The particular model has 8GB of RAM with the HD4000 Video chip.

The Video memory is shared but I've read that it may be possible to adjust the amount of memory from the RAM (128-256-?) in the BIOS.

Has anyone done this....or is it likely the manufacturer has locked this feature within the BIOS? I figure with 8GB of RAM I could easily spare some to help out the Video when needed.

    Thanks...
