    Acer Aspire V5-573G-54208G50aii silber i5-4200U 8GB 500 GB Full HD GT750M noOS
    http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00CO0Y5QY/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=computers

It looks like a really attractive offer.
The downsides might be throttling and the GPU being too powerful to cool efficiently.
The screen seems to be 1080p but it's listed as a TFT screen.
Never really seen a really bad full HD screen, hopefully it wouldn't be the first.
The design seems like a reworked M5 ultra chassis. Any M5 owners care to share some feedback? Drawbacks?

I asked in the suggestion forum but maybe someone here could shed a bit more light on that model?

    Thanks :D

It looks interesting. Looking forward to more info on temperatures under load and battery time.

Yeah, I'm quite intrigued by this one. The price is actually pretty sweet for what it's packing.

I was looking for any reviews of some sort last night and all I could find was some German minecraft player telling his subscribers about his new laptop, which happens to be this one. Even then, it's just him verbally describing it while the video is of his desktop (I think. I don't comprehend German) then he fires up Minecraft.

I just got my 572G with i7-3537U. Will play around with it in the next couple of days.

    First impression:
+ great screen, IPS panel with matte finish, not a glossy mirror like usual at that price level
+ in normal office/surf mode pretty quiet
+ nice background light for keyboard
+ keyboard pretty solid, no flexing
+ display lit, palm rest and keyboard frame all from black aluminium - pretty stable, and feels like decent quality
    + slim case, ~2kg

    only negative point so far:
I'm not getting along with the Touchpad. It is pretty sticky and the hardware buttons are very annoying loud.

Did it come with a FHD screen? Some sites are selling this and claim 1920x1080 but in spec sheets states the usual 1366x768

Edit: That and, reckon you could post a few pictures or a review of the machine please and thank you? :3
Myself and the girlfriend are looking towards getting this but we're not sure if it's a sound buy.

    Hey,

can you comment on battery life? About how long does it last under load now that it has Haswell? Also, can you comment on the build-quality, is it all plastic and does it feel stable/solid?

    Cheers

Hello there all owners of this laptop.

Can you please give us insight of how good this laptop handles load ( ability to maintain full cpu boost, gpu ), temperatures, battery life and build quality ?

High quality FHD screen, 7hr battery and decent performance.
    Sounds great. :)

has anyone read about a possible US sale of this model? I mean the Euro spec one with the 1080p IPS display. Such a pity if not. Definitely not selling here yet.

Haven't seen anything US related unfortunately most of the links in searches point towards European (mainly Germanic) sites. You could send Acer an e-mail about it?

Good idea. I'll do that. Seems such a shame that this machine's one almost fatal flaw in the US versions (its screen) has already been remedied by Acer and the cost is quite reasonable, would be $799 or leas here based on Euro pricing. Can only imagine Acer is protecting whatever is its next more expensive thin laptop with a 1080p screen. Now that I know it can be done I can't bring myself to settle for less or pay more.

Was gonna say I found it in English, but nevermind, it's got a Germany keyboard.

Most definitely. I mean, for under 700 quid here for specs like that.

Switch the keys around and change the keyboard language?

I am kind of worried about those high 60 temperatures under load. I would not put it thru heavy load while having the notebook on the lap ( cooling pad ready ). Would these temperatures affect lifespan of notebook ?

    Also, I am comparing i5-4200u and i5-3210 .

I think the difference would not be much noticable ( primary application performance, I am not considering playing CPU heavy titles anyway )

In Middle Europe i5 model with 8Gb ram and 1Tb HDD with IPS screen and gt750m goes for 775 euro.
Quite nice price for the whole package it contains.

IIRC, the review stated that it would generally reach those temperatures under unrealistically heavy loads.

As for the CPU, you're right. Anything too CPU intensive will slow down, but there's still the option of bumping the clock up to maybe 2.xGhz which would help. Otherwise, I'm the same. I was considering the Razer Blade but the screen at that price point was really disappointing.

The review stated that cpu is capable of running full TB ( running furmark and prime will limit CPU to 2,2 ghz after some time ).

Currently I am running with dual core AMD with 2,1 Ghz, so 2,6 / 2,5 is improvement.

The fact that Cpu doesn´t got TB ( 1,6 ghz ) at all on battery doesn´t bother me, because on battery I would be doing only videos, music or base typing, programming, nothing cpu intensive.

Umm, I know that it has been less than 2 months since this model was released, but does Acer (or anyother) have some reputation of not releasing nice budget devices like this in North American Region or something? This is a seriously good device. If priced the same way, i don't see any other notebook that can match this in its price bracket. Or would waiting for some more days change anything? The v5 573g models right now in US markets have the old display (just HD) with slow 720m and a bit slower processor.

I also am waiting for this to be released in the US. I went ahead and sent acer an email as well as posted on their community forums. Will update this post if I receive a response.

Also, I emailed ExaliberPC as they deal in a wide range of Acer notebooks and I got this response:

Crossing my fingers that this model gets here soon.... It's perfect.

    Hi,

can someone test the maximal external resolution of miniDisplayPort in V573G? No worry, if you don't have a 4K screen :hi2: I'm interested in resolutions above FHD, i.e. 2560xSomething
Can you also check whether you can drive 2 external monitors simultaneously? I mean miniDP + HDMI (+ laptop's screen)?

    Many thanks in advance..

I'm interested in this laptop. I've read reviews and they all tend to give enough praise for it to be worth considering. Can any owners offer some input?

I'm interested in battery lifetime under working conditions(say, medium brightness, wifi on and working with MS Office).
Also, heat: would it be possible to keep this LAPtop on your LAP while doing work in the mentioned conditions? I'm not speaking about gaming, it'd get too hot for sure.
Lastly, the power button. It's on the left side towards the back and I'm concerned that it might be the cause of accidental shutdowns when picking up or using in a cluttered environment. I'm concerned that it will keep turning itself on when carried in a laptop case.
