I am currently working on a Acer Aspire 5315 for someone and the wireless isn't working. It has Windows XP on it and it recognizes the built-in wireless adapter, but I can't seem to fix the problem. I downloaded the most recent drivers for it, but it didn't do anything. Any suggestions?

where did you get the driver you downloaded??

this is my favorite XP DRIVER FOR THE ATHEROS WIFI...

    http://www.station-drivers.com/page/atheros.htm
is where the above link points to.... just incase you are still using VISTA on that poor little celeron ;)

THIS LINK has all kinds of info on the ASPIRE 5315

BTW the newest XP ATHEROS driver on that page doesn't seem to have the features this one has

PS if using one of the rare 5315's with the broadcomm WIFI,, post again and i'll clue you into a few drivers that seem to work with the broadcomm wifi cards
