    Acer adverts on Acer 5920 laptop

    Hello on booting up the above laptop all is well for a while then, if not using the laptop I get a load of adverts advertising Acer products. Can any one please tell me how i can get rid of them.

    Jaysto, I can honestly say I've never heard of that.
    Unless you're talking about the Acer screensaver, which does play like a bit of an advert, and would activate if your system's not used in a while.
    If that's the case, right-click on your desktop and hit Properties (Vista) or Personalize (Win7), then click to the Screen Saver tab and change it.

    I had not realised it was a screen saver. i have chosen something much quieter.
