    Acer aspire 4310 unable to disk wipe or 0 fill?

    Ok this aspire 4310 is giving me the ......

    I have tried:

    Running DBAN, seatools, ubuntu to delete partitions, hiren.

    I am unable to use these tools to delete the hidden partition, which i suspect is carrying some bios info which is stopping me from being able to use the disk wiping functions in these tools.

    Why?

    I want to sell my notebook, but want to disk wipe it before doing so.

    I need help, please.

    can anyone advice me of a forum where people have this technical knowledge? doesnt seem to be anyone in this one who is tech savy (no disrespect meant) and i really need a solution quick.

    find the brand of HDD

    go to the manufacturer's site

    download thier diagnostic tools ISO image... burn it to CD

    run the diag tool,, most have a low-level format... or zero-fill option

    but DATA could still be recovered from that...
