    Acer aspire 5220

    When i start my laptop, during post i se an error...

    ERROR
    Resource Conflict - PCI Serial Bus Controller in slot 01
    Bus:01, Device:04, Function:00

    after that, he stops...and i can see an black background an a pointer in the uper left corner... :(

    some times after a few trys he starts and work's normaly....no problem...works after restarts, shuting down, but in most cases does like this :(

    can someoane help me, please...

    Can you flash the BIOS to the latest version if you haven't done so?
    Checking the RAM might help as well.

    rams are ok.... i've tested them on other laptop and works perfect...i will try to flash the bios, but can you help me :) how is good to do this, from windows? or from ms-dos?

    10x..and please forgive my bad english....I'm from Romania :D; and forgive me that i put so many questions, i don't need more problems :) :D

    Had issues with two acers with resource conflicts. What I did is removed the wireless card internally, bootup the laptop into windows, shut down the computer, and put the wireless card back in. Worked great for me, hopefully it works for you.

    card probably is located under a panel beneath the laptop.

    same problem :( so is not the wirelees card... other ideea? the conflict error is postet upper :(
