    Acer aspire 5315 battery light blinking

    Hi there
    The battery light on my pc will start blinking amber when i plug the charger in.
    And the pc wont turn on. I have tried turn pc on only with battery , it will start up nothing will appear on screen but i can hear fan noise and then it shuts down again may be because of insufficient charge on the battery.
    When i try to run pc only on dc power without the battery it wont even start but the light blinks amber repeatedly.
    Some search on the net has shown me that it could be the problem with power jack on the laptop but i have opened the pc and cheked the jack its working fine.
    I belive it could. E problem with fuse but i dont know where it is located on the mb.or it could be a short circuit etc.
    Please let me know if anyone got a clue
