I never did find a 5315 manual but the 5520 is pretty darn close. Google up "acer 5520 disassembly" and its the 3 link up from the bottom. The power jack just unplugs from the board.

Did this work for you? I'm needing to do the same and would like to know so I can pick up the right part(s) on eBay. Also, thanks to some other threads on here, I may also snag a DC CPU and upgrade that, as well. I upgraded to Windows 7 on my Aspire and now it is chunkier than Jiffy Peanut Butter, even with the RAM maxed out and the display settings set to "Best performance"
