    Hi...

Lately I am facing a very strange problem...
I don`t know why but HW monitor is showing that while under load ACPI temp (marked as THRM) reaches 91C causing CPU to underclock and thus lose performance...

I am using 5520G in signature and I am not using it overclocked as show in signature...

When idle ACPI temp is 45-55C and Core 1 and 2 are when under load around 77C, and 40 - 45C when idle.

What could be causing this huge ACPI temp bump? I also mark that when at ACPI 91C was recorded in HW monitor, CPU core 1 and 2 max temp recorded was 67-70C.

    Hope someone has any idea...

I tried putting copper shim on chipset chip thinking it will decrease ACPI temp but it didn`t solve it.

Could this be caused by bad heatpipe?

    Thanx

    UPDATE:

Trouble solved - copper shim I put on chipset didn`t properly touch the heatsink so I fixed it and now it works great...

Oh, I was a bit frightened it was close to BGA failure... ;)
