    Hello everyone,

I need your help, real bad.

I have an Acer 5920 aspire series, with Win Xp professional, sp2.

I am used to talking on gtalk, and realised that acers mic was not loud, so i added the headset, the same problem.

Then I realised that there is some issue with the driver, a realtek HD audio, 5. something. I have noticed that the microphone option does not get detected, i cannot move the tab at all> the sound from my speakers is aok.

I updated the latest realtek drivers from the acer site and have the same issue. I just cannot get the mic to work, despite the tinkering and the troubleshhoting.

Please help me, I know that the rest of the acer s920 guys have the same issue.

I need you'll to help me.....

    Please...

    Ok .. try this ..

Taskbar -- > Volume control double click -->
Mixer view --> options --> properties --> check the AUX input .

Use the AUX control slider , to control the external Mic ,
and mute the Mic input .

Test also and the "Line in" if the AUX fails to work.
    Report back with your findings.

The first time help , are always free :p
