Acer aspire 5920g laptop i give it up i lose you win

i buyed it in 2007 in november , until now it doesnt work properly with other software that i like to download. theres always something wrong,or slow ,or it freezes. i tryed uninstalling everthing of acer but then also doesn;t help much for my laptop . it is more faster then before,but there are a lot of errors ,like internet connection, programs not responding etcc...

its a long story of installing and uninstalling programs looking for answer ,people that have the same problem with acer empower technology.

well i now have a lot of experience of programs where to find files to unchecked them etc.... but i am not a programmor. still a newbie.

i dont gonna change or remove nothing from acer because i dont like my pc ****t up. i gonna leave it like it was ( i give up to change acer)
so i gonna restore everthing with acer recovery again set it back to factory setting . and only remove norton internet security 2007 and acer games,and replace ( nti-cd,dvd player and cyberpower for nero 8)

i dont know which other antivirus software i can replace the norton antivirus with.

because i used nod32 it give blue screen, avast works on acer but my acer wifi internet connection go's of and on when i start up my pc.

please give good advise which anti virus works flaweles(good)with acer 5920g
(pleas tell me your experience if you have also the same lapptop with windows vista home premium if you have errors or other problems so i can learn it.)

can somebody give me advise of the following software that i like to install after i did the restore factory setting ( if its good or bad for my acer)

1.vista tuning (data becker) in vista tuning there also a registry cleaner shall i use it or use ccleaner.

2.Nero 8 (does it work on acer?)

3.winrar

4.tell me more(its a learning english program)

5.adobe 8.

6.halo 2 (online and windows halo update)

7.ares (its like utorrent) can somebodys tell me if it works on acers 5920g or can somebody tell me which dowload program works with vista or acer)
8.convert to dvd

if you also have a lot a problems with the 5920g givme a reply and what problem you have iif you like to. so i can now what gives problems on a acer 5920g thank you very much

 

just return the crap and buy a Lenovo, a Toshiba or a HP, you will be much happier.

Acer does not like Vista and it is not willing to provide all kinds of drivers needed for its computer to work under Vista environment.

And now , in Asia , they never sell anything with Vista and so my Thai friend was forced to choose either XP pro or Linux BE ,so avoid Acer.

First Recover your system

Uninstall Norton Crap & Use Norton cleanup utility to clean your system.(Norton give system errors like Blue screen if you forget to clean your system+ It will cause problems to other AV suites)

Nero8/uTorrent/WinRaR/Adobe8 /Kaspersky AV works fine with my system

BTW I unistall all the acer installed software (Except Drivers)& clean the reg using ccleaner

OR Clean install your system using Vista DVD

I brought my Acer 5920G from asia & it comes with Vista .Some retailers sell system without OS & they force customers to buy XP (Low cost )

All of my acer drivers work fine & no issues (except nVidia driver)

BTW update your system drivers after you cleanup your system

because i know how to update with windows update (that is easy)

i dont have a vista cd or a acer cd ,it was preinstalled without software cd.

Do you have recovery DVDs? or you use Alt+F10.

BTW always create recover DVDs otherwise you will lost everything if something happens to your HDD

i gonna make a back up cd for my acer when i restored it.

i tryed before to make one but it was only completed 99% it completed 4 dvd and the last dvd or making a back up. i get a error its said use a other disc

but i couldt change disc becaus the cd player wouldn;t open

and the light was off of the cd player on acer laptop , so i only have 99 % back up .yeah i know , i did this when i first buyed acer . i thougt first make a back up in the beginning but it failed evertime at the last moment. ****ty isn't

i hope that my laptop does it, otherwise i have to go back to holland and i gonna give this laptop to my brother so he can put windows xp on it

Google it Acer Vista or Microsoft and Acer or HP VS Acer, you will know all about the company.

And in Thailand and Malaysia , as far as I know , all Acer models come with Linux BE, or just simply without Windows of any kind.

Lenovo is a better brand with much better build and customer service for its customers, this is why almost all corporate users buy Thinkpad or Lenovo 3000 series, not TR from Acer.

I dont know anything about South Asia ,so sorry for that, I said Asia meant was like SE-Asia and China .............

 

Wow, You're from Thailand right? Either you must be a fanboi or you really like shoving bull**** into other ppl's mind. The Acer 5920g comes with Vista, most low spec acer laptops come with XP though, but it's logical, since vista's such a performance hog. The Acer 7720g comes with vista too,btw.

hello everbody i am back . bigspin a question, just in case i do something wrong.

i was checking on my acer aspire 5920g if i had uninstalled the drivers
but i think i didn't erase the drviers before only acers empower technolog,edata,esettings,eaudio,epresetation,enet,epower,acer tour(141),acer vcm,acer launch manager.

these software i uninstalled two weeks before. so i dont now if i uninstalled these software above that i also erase the drives software

well bigspin, i gonna tell you what i downloaded yesterday from acer

1.acer empower technology
2.acer erecovery management
3.acer launch manager.

when i opend acer Erecovery management i saw that my acer system back up file still was at the ercovery management.

it was my old system back up file that i made at the beginning when i first used my acer aspire 5920g, its said 2007 .etc...

so i pressed at restore then it restarted my acer

but i didn't restored my orginally files like i always did before to restore my acer , it did not restore my file back to 2007.

so i use restore to factory settings it also restart my acer normal

normally if i do a restore to factory setting with acer

its take like 2 hours to restore and it restore also vista ,like the first time i opend the acer laptop.

and a question of this hidden partion ,i pressed alt+f10
but i didn't get a restore option.

did i do it the good way

Before you perform the upgrade to Windows Vista it is recommended that you create a CD/DVD backup of either the Acer Recovery CDs which are preinstalled in the hidden partition of your Notebook or a self created user backup which can exist on partition D: of your harddrive and will be shown only by the eRecovery utility. With these backup CD/DVD you will able to go back to your old configuration if you decide to do so.

There are 2 different versions of the eRecovery utility, please find the detailed procedures below:

Version 1.x of eRecovery:

(You must have a D: partition on your hard drive which is default setting by Acer Factory preload. This D: partition must be big enough for your user backup and it must be FAT32 formatted. If these requirements are not met eRecovery will not work)

 

oh yeah also when i pressed restore to factory or restore back up system files.

i then get a message of details ( hitachi ,86 gb) press accept or cancel)

 

Restore your system to factory default .I mean full system restore not a backup restore

 

bigspin can you tell me in steps how to begin with the acer erecovery

so that i choose and pres the right button for full system factory default.
