Recently started to get these random crackling noises from my speakers, i have found that turning the sound from 5.1 to stero and vice versa stops this, but only for about 20 mins, Extremely annoying.
I have the correct Realtek drivers in, using W7 32 home premium.
Anyone else have this issue ? or know how to solve it?

Your model has the TUBA Bass Booster correct? I think that may be the issue, as I too had that issue.

To troubleshoot, I would go to the sound controls, and lower the outbound of the Bass Booster and see if that helps. Helped me.

Audio problems are very common with the 6930G. Apparently, if you used the Vista audio drivers provided by Acer, and install then using win 7's "vista compatibility mode", the audio crackling should disappear. I think it was discussed in this forum a few weeks back but I can't find it any more.

I recently upgraded to win 7 from Vista - straight upgrade, not a clean install - and for the last two weeks I have had zero audio issues at all. With Vista it cropped up once every two days or so, but for now i have no problems. I think it might have something to do with the audio drivers still being "for vista".
