    Ive currently got an acer aspire 7000 which ive had several years and im trying to reset it to how i bought it from the shop but im having nothing but problems trying to access this as theres a password i dont remember setting one as i bought in 2007 but what i need to know is there a factory code set by acer if so what is the code??? Or how can i find it?? That will override any passwords and let me factory reset????? I would be very grateful if i can get some help and advice thank you

    Sorry, NBR does not allow the discussion of bypassing security measures (like passwords) for any reason.

    That said, I have never encountered a password set by the manufacturer as such, unless it is a password set by a school or business or previous owner. Is there anyone else in your household who may have had access to this laptop who may know the password?

    If it's a BIOS password, the manufacturer (Acer support) should be able to assist you. Good luck.
