    Acer aspire one problems

    Hi i have a new acer aspire one that i have had no problems with but now when i try and turn it on i get the green light on the right hand side on but nothing happens it doesnt boot and nothing comes on the screen the light that flickers when the hard drive is running doesnt come on, the notebook is fully charged and it is the same when it is plugged into the mains can anybody help ?

    gotta send it in. bios got corrupted. not your fault, its a known problem with the aspire one's. Same thing happened to me when i had an AA1.

    If you think your capable, all you have to do to fix it yourself is remove the battery, disassemble the netbook, remove the CMOS battery, wait 10 seconds... pop it back in, put it back together and it'll work like new.

    No need to do that. Macles has a bios recovery instructional set up, and it's been done many times (by myself also).

    That doesn't actually update the bios in my experiences. You should update the bios afterwards.
