Good evening everyone. I have a problem with my laptop. My laptop is acer aspire s13. About one week ago, my laptop suddenly died. I tried to turn my laptop on, the laptop was on (the backlit keyboard is on also) only within a second and then died. I brought the laptop to acer service center in my country and they said the failure of my laptop to boot was my ssd. Mainboard and the fan was good.

I was wondering what could damage my ssd? My SSD is M2SSD Sata.

    Thankyou in advance

Nothing in particular, components just die from time to time.
Since mainboard is fine and mobos are more likely to be damaged by power surge than components connected to them, it's unlikely that it was a power surge.

I don't see any point in deliberating what damaged the SSD as there is no point anybody would know that. It's even harder to make an educated guess since you have not provided a model number for the drive. Maybe if you knew that you could google it and see if that seems to be a common therme for this particular drive.
