I've got the 5290 bilingual version (English/French) and at the very first boot, it asked whether I wanted the French or the English UI Vista. I made my choice and proceeded with the install.

Now, I want to switch to the other UI, but I am not sure how to do it. I used the recovery partition to wipe out the OS and start from scratch, but it did not offer me the option to choose between English and French; instead, it defaulted to my initial choice.

Does anyone know how to go back and switch the UI? I guess it writes a value on the hidden partition when you make your choice ...

    TIA

    Hi there!

    - Go to Control panel -> Regional and language options
    - switch to 3rd tab "keyboards and languages"
    - make proper selection at "choose display language"

You need to logoff and login back and language will be switched.

    -------------

PS: thats the method that works on my Vista; that is per user setting (ie. one can use english, other german, third french etc. ... depends on installed languages).
