I have a strange problem and having a real hard time trying to solve it. ive deleted windows partitions and reinstalled windows using the link from this site for a clean install. everything installs and everything boots fine and works. but when i try and use a boot disk like from acronis it says no boot drive detected, continue to windows?

this is soooo tiring. ive done backups and restores on all my other window machines without issue. but this just wont let me boot into acronis.

is there a bios option im missing. i hit f12 choose cd rom if i use a windows disk it works perfectly but if i choose my aconis boot disk it says no boot drive detected. wth. sigh. why wont my acronis disk work with this copy of windows.

    Hi,

perhaps Acronis expects the HDD connected to an IDE controller. So it might help if you temporarily switch the operation mode of the Sata controller from "AHCI" to "IDE".
Or you simply need an update of your Acronis software.
