    Anyone got the same problem that the mouse freezes for about 30sec-1min every 5min. Me and my friend bought a Acer Ferrari 5000 notebook at the same time and we have the same problem.

    I had the same problem with my old Travelmate 3012 with a Logitech V270 mouse so i returned the mouse and thought it was some kind of compability problem. But this mouse is the Acer Ferrari mouse that was delivered with the computer, it SHOULD work.

    Acer Support didnt know what the problem was, but they said they would investigate and return to me. (haven“t heard anything yet) =)

    I have the very same problem on my Acer Aspire 5670. Trying to use a Logitech Bluetooth V270. It freezes every now and then and I power it off and back on to bring it back to life. Mouse reset button won't help in most cases.

    Sometimes I feel like throwing it at the walls. There is nothing more annoying that a freezing pointing device...

    If someone has any tips on this, I would really appreciate!

    Ricardo.

    Every now and again, after a few hours of use, my V270 stops working. Switching it off and on usually fixes the problem. Since my computer is a Samsung, I wonder if this is a feature of Bluetooth. Overall, a Bluetooth mouse is convenient so I forgive the occasional relapse.

    Yeah my V270 does the same thing. Have to turn it off and then on again. I thought this was normal, but perhaps not.

    Same here, my Logitech V270 on a Aspire 5634 (+ D-Link DBT-122 Usb Adaptor) tends to freeze occasionaly.

    I found a solution that solved my problem.. I called Acer three times and every time they promised to get back to me but never did. So I started to troubleshoot it myself. :) A simple solution to this is to Uninstall the Widcomm Bluetooth stack and use the internal Microsoft stack instead. The mouse works perfectly for me now.

    ok guys. I had this problem too. there is some info on it in the How To Aspire 5672 thread. But, I'll give you the best solution so far.

    I bet you have the "wrong" widcomm BT version installed. ...I know its stupid, i only installed what came with the V270 and it worked like crap. but here is the solution. check out this thread.

    http://www.howardforums.com/archive/topic/1011753-1.html

    my V270 works perfectly with the 5672 now, except sometimes it takes a second too long to come out of sleep. and i will always need to disconnect/reconnect the mouse after hibernation, which is crappy. but other than that, no major issues.

    if it still doesnt work, check out this thread.

    For me I don't have the problem, I use MS IntelliMouse Explorer Bluetooth with my 5672. At the beginning, my mouse was not even get recognized at all, so I took off broadcom's bluetooth driver which was came from Acer by defult, thus XP switch the bluetooth adapter back to MS's own driver. Since then, everything works perfectly. :rolleyes:

    @baseman,
    you are using the MS IntelliMouse, which by itself should be compatible with MS software. However, many people using the V270 or other mice have found disconnect/sleep issues. you're a lucky one

    one of the problems with the method i'm using seems to be that when you turn the switch for BT, or wireless on, or increase volume using the Fn key, they green text no longer shows up on the screen telling you what is happening. the disconnect issues is mostly gone now, except once in a while i will need to touch the touchpad to get the mouse moving again.
