I have a 5672wmli from the days of the original core duo and x1600. Im surpised by the build quality, the only thing thats gone wrong with it is the webcam cuts out intermittenly, ive had it for 3 years.

So im in the market for a new laptop, im wondering how their quality is now?

Truth, they've only gotten better. I had one of those older models before this 6920G, and this one has held up far better after 2 years than the old one.

I bought an Acer 1410T as a travel notebook and to hold-me-over until I could buy a 3820TG. I have been running my business with it for the past 4-5 months. I have not had even the slightest hint of a problem with it. I have been very impressed with this little ultraportable and hope that my TimelineX is as well built.

I still have my Aspire 9301, and touch wood it's been perfect in over 3.5 years of heavy use... several hours per day. Even the battery seems as good as ever.
The secret IMO... look after it... and don't go trying to tweak/fix/fiddle with things that aren't broke.
