    Acer built-in microphone doesnt work

    hi, my built-in microphone does not work, after installing a new hardrive and also installing Window 7 (upgraded from vista).
    Wondering if anyone can help, i've been getting alot of helpful advice from this site, thank you very much.

    Acer aspire 6920G, intel 2 duo processor t8300, 4gb DDR2, 250 gb.

    Check if you've installed Realtek audio driver and if so- if the mic isn't set to mute (see Realtek Sound manager- or whatever it's called0 in control panel)

    yea it seems i dont have realtek installed. guessing i need to install it then :)

    is there a specific one i have to download?

    You have to stick to the one provided by Acer if you want to keep TUBA working (and you want since it makes the sound quality a lot better)
