    I´ve been in to buying a laptop for sometime now. Thinking about a ferarri because the performance and ofcourse the looks.
    I have one important demand though. It really can`t make much noice.
    Well if i`m playing a game or something it`ll be ok but if I`m just surfing or watching a movie i really need it to be quiet.

    Hope someone who owns a ferrari can help me out.

    If you want a silent laptop, I would recommend a Pentium M based machine. Since Pentium M run much cooler than AMDs they require less cooling apparatus like fans which can be noisy. The fan on my T41 almost never comes on.

    I know things, things that could get me killed

    Thinkpad T41:
    * 1.6Ghz Pentium M * 768Mb Memory * 40Gb Hitachi 7200RPM * Panasonic UJ-845-B DVD+RW *

    I know buying a pentium-M base machine probably would be the smartest thing to to. Battery time would be much better aswell after what I`ve read.

    AMD still has the cooling problem with this knew mobile processer? Is there a big difference? Isn`t the performance better witht the amd-64 processer?
