    Hi

I was working on a word document one nite on my acer 4000 series laptop. The USB stick was also connected. As I was feeling very sleepy, without shutting off the machine I just closed the screen.

In the morning when I opened the screen, the power led kept blinking orange and green continuously. There is no display on the screen. When I press the power button off, at times the machine goes off or else it stays on.

I have tried the battery and also plugged to the electric outlet, its the same scenario. I even removed the battery and put it back. Surprisingly the power button and power led came on without me actually pressing the power button.

Im not able to make out what is the problem. In the manual it doesnt mention the reason why the power led blinks orange and green. There's nothing mentioned in the trouble shooting section.

    Can someone please help me.

    Regards

    Sanjeev

It should be either running on standby or power low.
