I Installed Windows 7 64bit on my Acer Aspire 5315 no issues at all. However I need the launcher program for my volume control. any idea when Acer plans to put Windows 7 driver on it worldwide site?

Hi, they may never as they might just release it only for laptops that come with win7 pre-installed...

The Windows Vista 64 bit launcher will work on Windows 7. I think I found mine under apps for the 3810 or the 4810. Version is 2.0.05 Vista 64. I am using this on an Acer 1410 so I don't know about the 5315.

I found that out I install the launcher and it detected 64bit and now everything works great.

Odd how in Windiws 7 64 you have Program files and Program Files (x86) this is my first time running a 64bit OS.

The 2 different program files are the true 64 bit programs (Program Files) and the legacy apps (Program Files X86).
These older apps run in a seperate process sort of like how dos programs use to run in Windows 95/98.
