    Hi

I'm having major problems installing my audio production programs on my Aspire 8030g. What seems to work and what not is more like a gamble than anything else.

My question is, has Acer any plans in fixing this problem? Its so bad for the company that some audio production products specifically warns users that their products do not work with Acer.

What audio production programs are you referring to?
And which products specifically warn against Acer?

Amongst a whole bunch of machines, I've used various Acer models, and found them to be not much different from those from other manufacturers.

There are all sorts of problems on laptops for serious audio - problems with firewire, problems playing certain sounds off the hard drive (see some posts of mine from years ago), and all sorts of problems with power management etc etc, but most people manage somehow.

I have not used an 8930, so there may be problems, but my most recent Acer, a cheapo 2920, works well enough.
