I've have several Acer machines over the years now but I notice that on my latest purchase Aspire 4810TZG that the supply brick whilst still a standard 19v 3.42A now has an additional ring on the coax power plug which appears to control both the turning on of the DC supply at the PSU end but also appears to control the machine as well - as substituting a previous (same ratings) PSU the machine whilst seeing the 19v continually switches between battery and supply mode.

Does anyone have details of the signalling / conditions needed on the control wire, as when we are out in the Motorhome we normally only need/bother with a single PSU, but this is no longer possible.
