I found something once on one of my recovery CD'S. It is an ISO file called STCDBOOT. I burned the ISO image and it made some wierd boot disk. Has anone else tried this? I was wondering if this could rebuild the PQSERVICE? This ISO is on the first disk called System.

I did a really long write up on the recovery process for Acer restore D2D / DVD restore disks awhile back when it came to Royalty OEM keys - http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=76670
There have been other posts on recovering the partitions, but I haven't done much with this recently... you can find lots of info on this in the search button. - http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=11476&page=1
and again... google is your friend ^_^ -
Nice investigation you did there SSX4life
I will study your findings , my secret dream was to make the XP home in to XP Pro .
So far i was having the idea the the XP Keys was on the Laptop Bios.
Any way I will study your findings , and I will post on your thread. -
The thread is old, don't bother. I also got a nasty - gram as a result.
If you want to lean "more" about OEM SLP activation check my signature. -
I am not sure if I am doing this correct or not. I have wiped my drive. Then used my partition commander booted to the CD and made 3 partitions. The first PQSERVICE Secound ACER and Third DATA. the first is FAT32 Secound NTFS and Third FAT32 not really sure what the PQSERVICE was from factory but C was NTFS and D was FAT32. Is the PQSERVICE some thing called EISA? How do I make it that?

I am not up to OEM SLP activation .
But i found that those ARA HEB THA , are simple language extensions with keys.
And ACER it self , writes in this files ..... That if you need to use those languages , you have to move the proper files at the D2D patch folder.
This info proves , that you just misunderstood the existence of this files.
And so, there was nothing as non legit in the all story , just a simple misunderstanding.
The Acerlang.txt its the proof of my finding.
Take care -
Ok I made the partitions the PQSERVICE is first. Then the C and the D. I loaded Windows just to copy all files from recovery CD'S to the PQSERVICE partition. So after that I made it hidden. Then used the recovery CD and the PQSERVICE is still there and is still the first partition. Now just to get the ALT +F10 to work. There has to be a way somehow. I have came this far. I found a download on Acer's website Acer eRecovery management I try to install it and get an error Old NAPP version. I look in device manager under Administrative tools Computer Management then disk management there are 3 partitions 1st 9.55 GB EISA C 51.13 GB NTFS and D 51.11 GB FAT32. Maybe I have done something wrong.
