I have a Acer sound Realtek HD sound it works fine when it is just on the 2 speakers, but when I plug in the headphones it only works on the right side. I checked the ballance and everything, I'm stumped on this one, it use to be in stereo, but now its just on one side, any help will be usefull.
    Thanks!

Looks like one side of your headphone is broken.

Have you tried different headphones? It looks weird to me that, when you plug in 2 speakers, all is working fine, but once you plug in your headphone (which are also 2 small speakers), one side is not working. Shouldn't they both use the same working mechanism :)
Maybe try to reinstall your audio driver. Can't think of anything else. :D

if that side isn't working on different computers, then it's definetly your headphone that is broken. Could be the jack, yes (try bending in in different ways while plugged in and see what happens). I don't think their are usb-headphones. USB is not connected to the soundcard...
