    Hi,

I tried to record a streaming radioprogram this morning with "1st sound recorder". This program is known for the fact that you can record directly from your soundcard. It used to work fine with my dell laptop last year, but now, the quality is really bad. Sounds like he is just recording from the microphones. But I tried to configure the settings so it would record from the soundcard, but when I select my soundcard, the program freezes. Anybody has an answer for that? In the mean time, I'll try an other program.

BTW, I tried to install Acer eAudio, but when I start the setup, I get an error in very bad english saying : "This software can only be installed in authorized machine"

    weird

edit: I have the latest drivers installed (just so you know)
I read that realtek drivers don't support recording - what kind of sh*t is this?
Is there something I can do about it, besides recording using de crappy microphones?

For 'Recording the soundcard' just use the included 'Sound Mixer' option under the 'recording option' in the volume control. No third party apps needed.

If you need a good recording app, try Audacity

There is no "recording option" in my volume control panel. I know you can use the included sound recorder, but it saves your files as .WAV, and my program saves directly to .mp3
Anyway, I restarted my pc, and suddenly, I hav "stereo-mix" in my recording control panel, so that's good, I now can record directly from the sound card, but there is still one small problem The volume is very low (not the same as playback volume). I have everything maxed out. Is there a solution to further max the volume?
