    Hi,

I have a acer aspire 1300, i get if from work, it is not new.
The battery is worn out, so I order a new one, but it didn?t arrive yet.
In the mean while I just use the ac power module.
The led of de battery is always yellow, en sometimes it goes to green.
The power module gets very hot, but I didn?t had any problems.
Now today, it won?t start when hitting the start button.
The yellow led light up, sometimes it goes to green, and sometimes it turns off.
The power module do not get hot now.
When I measure it with a volt meter, I get 19V, and the green led on it is on, so I don?t think its broken.
Could it be that the battery is complete dead, and therefore the pc didn?t get any power, even from the power module?

I hope that it?s is the battery, because I order a new one and if now the motherboard is broken?.

    Thanks,

    Regards,

    Kristof

It's probably the battery, I have heared that some batteries can cause the laptop to act a bit funny.

    thanks for the reply.

Is it possible to start de pc without battery?
I pulled the battery out of the pc, and connected the power module, but it still doesn't start. Is this normal?

    kind regards,

    Kristof

Your battery is now completely dead. As you turn on and off the laptop, it is changing its load on the battery. On a light load the computer will think the battery is charged while on a heavy load it will appear to be charging.

You can start the PC without a battery no problem.

    I took the battery out.
I connected the power module, but there comes no led on.
The computer doesn?t start when I hit the switch.
    Is it protected? Or broken?

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

I replaced the battery, but it still don't start up.
    Could it be the motherboard?
