Got an Acer Aspire 5100 for Christmas. It was all OK until I had a Windows issue and needed Tech Support. When I contacted them they could not fix the problem and then just got rude about. It turns out their motto is: "We can’t satisfy everyone". Wish I knew that before I spent my money...

Yeah, give them another call, more than likely, you will get a tech that actually knows what they are doing. You must also be persistent, but in a polite manner, and don't take no for an answer. Have them push the ticket up the next level if you are not satisfied. Make sure to always get the trouble ticket number and log the date/time/conversation and name of the tech helping you.

It's also a good ideal to do some research (google, forums) so you can inform yourself about the issue you are dealing with. I found that the more you know about the problem the less tech support will bully you.

Also, with it being a Windows issue, try there support site.

    Good luck
