I want to buy this laptop. Saw it in a shop, the one I saw was ok except for a slight reddish tint. Not as bad as the tint you see on the aspire one which is really bad.. but nevertheless there.

I really want to ask... does anyone here own that laptop - do you see that tint, or is it just the unit I saw?

Also the display seemed a bit dim at max brightness.. was it my imagination?
definitely not as bright as my MSI wind u100

I really want this laptop... but worried about the screen tint I saw.

Can anyone comment on the tint/screen quality and brightness - does the brightness compare OK with other laptops/screens you own

any comments / advice really appreciated

I live in a far off banana-republic - the machine costs $1000 where I am, so its a pretty serious purchase for me (cries)

Note: I saw another laptop (5638z I think - it had a nice even screen with normal colors (no tint like the timeline) but not as bright.

I noticed that images on the timeline were rather washed out - despite the red tint warm reds/oranges/yellows were washed out.
