He definitely says GTX 780M! WOW, Acer got my attention again.

Meaker@Sager Company Representative
That would mean Acer suddenly jumping back on MXM and GDDR5 in one fell swoop.
Very likely he just said 780M by mistake. -
We shall see
-
I think same way. There will be 760m instead 780m.
-
The guy hasn't corrected himself and the laptop looks pretty thick, also Crysis on 1080p... It's GTX 780M for me, but we'll see after couple of days in Taipei
-
I doubt he made a mistake. The only reason he was there in the first place is to present those cards and notebooks.
They surely wouldn't use someone working in cafeteria at nVidia to do that- the guy must be involved with mobile cards.
Also notice that he never hesitated when presenting notebooks. If he made a mistake though- he should be fired immediately- if you have one job to do... -
it's a gtx 760M
-
Apparently it is in fact GTX 760M (another source confirmed it)
I tend to assume people are competent enough to do their job which doesn't seem to be the case
-
Apparently.
Sad news. Oh well. -

here is another one Link

And it has been in stock here in Norway for several days as well, in different configurations.
I'm not jumping the gun quite yet as prices are high, and I'll see what other companies offers first. -
seems the PSU isnt able to deal with 100% charge CPU + GPU.. can a future BIOS update limit the throttling ?

It looks more like thermal throttling at first glance.
-
in deed, you're right, so Acer should think about making the turbo go to 3.2GHz and go down to default clock (and not 800Mhz or 1.6Ghz as seen in notebookcheck) if the CPU reaches 90°+ ..
Anyway the Lenovo Y580 was throttling too (but works at Stock if 90°+ reached) but users review says no throttling at all even with modded Bios with heavy OC on GPU (835-> 1185MHz)
Plus if it doesnt reach that much as said (gaming temps = 85°) we could squeeze more perf from the 760M (+135Mhz of the Kepler via software + 100Mhz Boost) and get it at the level of the GTX 765M
the temps of the GPU are really low (65° for GPU)
Acer v3 + 760m or 780m(?!?!)
